Catholic Education…

“Catholic schools have a fantastic history in all continents.  They are even more necessary today, when we consider the manifold crises that education is currently going through.  Therefore, we need Catholic schools that turn globalization toward a spirit of solidarity, of real help for the needy, of respect toward every culture….Only globalization realized on such a basis will truly build up the good of all humanity.  Yes, we need Catholic schools!”

-Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski
Prefect, Congregation for Catholic Education

In the State of Pennsylvania, businesses are allowed to redirect state tax dollars to provide tuition assistance for families in exchange for tax credits. Northern Cambria Catholic School families of students in grades K-8 who applied for scholarship money through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program for the 2017-2018 school year recently received a surprise with additional scholarship funds provided by Marion Center Bank through the Central PA Scholarship Foundation. Northern Cambria Catholic School is very appreciative of these funds from Marion Center Bank which are used to help families receive a quality and affordable Catholic education for their children. Pictured are George Karlheim - Marion Center Bank President and CEO, Tina Gaston - VP/ Community Office Manager; Clymer Office and Theresa Burba - Principal of Northern Cambria Catholic School.

7th and 8th grade students acted out a Seder Meal for the students at NCCS. Jesus and his apostles told us how Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his apostles and a "Jewish" family told us the importance of praising God through a meal.
